The essentials

A landing spot for everything.

A good mudroom answers one question: where does this go? We design around the number of people in the house and the activities they come home with.

Bench seating

A built-in bench with open storage underneath for shoes, boots, and ball gear.

Personal cubbies

One cubby per person. Coat, bag, hat, gloves, and a shelf for whatever else. Labeled if you want.

Shoe storage

Open cubbies at floor level, sized for the boots and sneakers your family actually wears. One stall per person so shoes get a home.

Wall hooks

Heavy-duty hooks at kid-height and adult-height. Enough for every coat in the house plus the ones the kids never hang up.

Charging drawer

A single drawer with power strip and USB, so phones and tablets land in one place and charge overnight.

Upper cabinets

For hats, spare gloves, sunscreen, dog leashes. The stuff you need within reach of the door but not on display.

Mudrooms of every size

Built for how you come home.

Common questions

Before you ask.

Your designer will walk through specifics during the consultation. Don’t see your question? Ask us directly.

Can a mudroom fit in a narrow entryway or hallway?
Yes. A 4-to-6-foot wall can still hold a bench, a row of hooks, and a cubby or two. For tighter spaces we skip the bench, stack taller cubbies, and leave open shoe storage at the bottom.
Can you build around the door swing and existing baseboard?
Tall-paneled builds get scribed to the baseboard for a clean finish. We ask you to send door swing and baseboard measurements through our online tool so we can draft the layout with the door swinging fully clear of hooks and bench.
How high do you mount the hooks?
We spec two rows when there are kids in the house. A lower row around 42 inches they can reach, and an adult row around 60 to 64 inches. Coats move up as the kids grow. Adult-only households get a single row.
Do you install charging outlets inside the drawers?
Yes. A drawer gets an in-drawer outlet with USB-A and USB-C. Your electrician runs the wire to the cabinet, we supply and install the outlet itself. Clean way to charge phones, keys, and headphones.
Do you design the mudroom and laundry together?
Often the cleanest option. If the spaces share a wall or are a single room, we design them as one continuous built-in with matching finishes. Saves cost and looks intentional.
